Hmmm, I lost count a year ago. Although, I think we are finally getting close to paint. Jack (body man) said 3 weeks but the last time he said that for his 1953 GMC truck it took 1 year and 3 months to finish that. So I don't have a clue anymore.

I think when you start counting hours it changes from a hobby to a carreer. I like to think of it a "my time" or "therapy" to work on older cars.
I know it can be difficult and frustating but try to have fun with it.

when I was thinking of the work on my alterator (dismantling, grinding it smooth, have it powdercoated, rebuilding it and making a bracket out of aluminum) it took me about 8 hours.......
and that was only the alternator....I do not want to know how many hours there are actually in my car....

1864 hours exactly to build the "shop beater"! All done in less than 4 months!!

Rome was built in less time than it took to build the Cuda..... My empty wallet will attest to that
We are guessing at right about 4,500 man hours. Of course, that included a lot of "re-do's".
I have found that building custom cars is a lot like walking through a corn maze. Lots of wrong turns and dead ends until you finally reach your goal. :-)
