and one other thing i love about this project is that its all ORIGINAL panels and the guy i bought her off of was so good to this car it showed..
look at these small squares that we cut out.. that was the only rust on her.. man im glad.
the only accident it has seen was in the rear right quarter panel rubbed up to the door.. which was very minimal.
i got lucky..

cant wait to see it come back together! what color you planning on painting it? what engine combo...suspension...etc....keep us updated!

Yea Colt im dealing with it slowly and surely.. heres my engine combo for now that i need to get clean and dressed up.

my engine specs..
a 406 cubic inch SB chevrolet. This engine is 6.6
The engine block was fully reconditioned (bored .030" over in
the process),
increasing displacement to 406 cubic inches.
Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum heads (64cc straight plug
chambers)
Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake manifold
Lunati cast crank and pistons assembled for 10:00-1 compression
Lunati "number 10" 292/
292, Lift
.480/ .480
Holley 750 vacuum advance carburetor
GM HEI distributor
The transmission is a TH350 3 speed automatic.

I bought the same closeout panel and I love it. sounds like its gonna be a nice project when done! keep those updates coming! :)

Is the closeout pannel you guys are refering to the piece covering the radiator support to front sheet metal gap where the hood latch is?

yea.. i think its another enthusiast that is selling them on ebay..
but i think i caught the last one.. but i love it for sure!..
now i cant decide wether to paint it or leave it shiny..

New Update!
well i got the car in primer now and as im typing this its in the paintbooth.
we finished the dual side exhausts and im pretty happy with them.. I mandrel bent the piping and my bodyguy handled the welding.. it came out really nice i think... I havent got any advice on how to do them let alone have i been able to find one with that setup.. it seems like noone with a camaro has it that i can find.
we shaved up the doors and antenna hole and some new mirrors.
ill have the final photos this week.. im so happy!!

were did u get the exhaust tips?

I got a set of those exhaust tips if your interested, they are c5 vette tips. my are polished and have never been used. was going on thr 68 but I decided to go a different route. I paid 50.00 for them you can have them for that plus shipping. lmk

yea im pretty stoked!
i was worried that the side exhaust would come out pretty bad when we were thinking of things to do to her.
