Thanks JM,

How are we sure that's really Project X? Whatever it is it looks great! I'd be surprised if Mark said it was okay to make pictures public. With that said and that the car doesn't have a DSE wiper motor make me suspect that it might not be Mark's car. Although I could be wrong.

looks like the majority of the work is in mock up. the wiper motor could be replaced later, they may be just testing weather it works or not. ?

The pics do say Mark Stielow. Either way, Im pretty sure he'd be p.o'd about them being out being a Hot Rod exclusive and all. (oops. edit)

I thought PHR wasn't doing this car. I thought Hod Rod was because Mark didn't have time to do an article a month for PHR. Do to being to busy at GM.

That looks like an ATS spindle in there. It could be. I wonder if these were for public viewing?

PHR isn't doing this car, which is a shame..

Anyways.. I thought Project X was a certain yellow '57 Chevy :rotfl:

How many other '69 Camaros are being built with a quadra-link and LS7??

I spot a dry-sump tank in the engine compartment and an ATS T56 tranny crossmember :-) The front wheel also looks like the mock-up wheels Mark used in first shots of "The Mule". Pictures of the Car remind me of "Tri-Tip" when his white 69 was in Hot Rod. Looking forward to seeing the final stance and the black wheels.

You may be right. And how many are just plain white.

I do kind of recognize that rusty wheel on the drivers side. If it really is Mark's car, I'm encouraged that he chose to run a stock subframe on his car. That says something about old engineering mixed with new engineering. I'm acutally quite surprised he didn't get a new DSE subframe. It must not have worked with his timeline.

There isn't much reason to mock up the original wiper motor if you're not going to use it. The DSE wiper has it's own new wiring harness. Since I'm a big block Camaro guy I have never ever ever ever liked the stupid stock wiper motor. When it comes to the big block, the wiper motor has to come off to remove most aftermarket valve covers. The DSE wiper is so close to the firewall I can remove the valve cover and the WHOLE head ---with head studs sticking out of the head-- without disturbing the wiper motor. Oh, and the stock one is uglier than the Honda Hybrid.

If you click on the link to customers projects - it is in fact Stielows Camaro - Those look like the ATS built LS headers that were on their display at SEMA.:worship:

Maybe someone can correctly change the name of the thread to "Camaro X". The X indicating the tenth Camaro Stielow has built.

And just to be clear.. I was only poking a little fun with the "project x" deal :)

That is gonna be one bad ass ride when done.. You adding it to the collection Charlie?

That is The Camaro X alright. It is really close to being finished. I think his new Fikse wheels shipped today. I can't wait to see it on the ground.

I spoke with Mark about 2 weeks ago and he told me he hoped to have it on the road sometime during the GM Shutdown. That would be right now. The car will be at Woodward and I've already purchased the tarp I'm going to lay across the fender when I go to salivate over it. It's the least I can do.

Buddy....sorry I missed you yesterday, what time did you get down there? I made it out about 6pm. Had to park 4 blocks into the neighborhood. But I was smart and brought my Gary Fisher with me. Paul let me store it behind the Hydratech Booth. Marks car was something else. Afterwards he brought it to the Pfaff Design Woodward party. Incredible car. It was good to finally meet Scott, Jody and Brent from Lateral-G.

Tony, almost didn't go due to the rain. Colt and I got into the Royal Oak area around 3:30 and probably wasn't standing there looking at Mark's car until around 5:00-5:30. Found a parking spot about half a block away right off 14 mile. I was looking around for ya but didn't see anybody in or around Uncle Ed's except the Hydratech guys. We ran up to Champs and ate around 9:00 and I didn't get back home until 1:15am.

One of these years... when our cars are done (LOL)... we can maybe reserve an area for us "PT" guys to park!

I love how simple and Factory everything looks. What I like the most is the interior shot. You can tell that it is DRIVEN!! I love it!!

Yeah those are pretty cool, it's a RacePak, everything is fully downloadable. We use RacePak gauges in snowmobile drag racing. Here's the EGT's website... www.exhaustgas.com
