guys i am having some trouble with my wife's car. it is a hyudia accent, well the problem is with the front brakes, they seem to lock up after stop and go driving. when you first get into the car it is fine after about 10 -15 minutes of stop and go driving they seem to stay locked up and the brake pedal gets extremely hard. after letting it sit it goes back to normal for a few minutes then right back to locking up. i changed the brakes and it is still doing the same thing. please help me on where to start.

You might do better to put this in the 'Emergency Room' forum.

I am no expert, but you might try bleeding them. I assume these are disc brakes all around?

Are the calipers frozen up?

it seems like the calipers freez up but when we changed the brakes we were able to compress them to fit in the new pads and everything. are calipers something that could freeze then free up???

Crack the bleeders, if fluid squirts out, try adjusting (shorten) the rod between the pedal and the booster.

Look at the booster as well. It may be bad causing it to apply the brakes on it's own.

Seriously, did you try bleeding them?

I doubt bleeding them would make them not stick, but it's worth a shot. To test the booster, just pull the vacum line off of it and see if that helps the brakes any.
