Hey guys i just got my 2" drop springs from OPG and was wondering what shocks you guys think will work good. The car is a 70 Olds Cutlass with stock uppers n lowers. I don't want to pay the huge money that some of the companies are asking. My car will probably never see any track time so i don't need top of the line shocks.

Thnx

Honestly, track time doesn't entirely matter. You'll be driving the car on the street, so you'll be wanting a good shock that will control the car well and not be valved too firmly. What springs did you get? I know you said 2" drop, but who made them? Do you know what rate they have? That should help a bit to get you a good recommendation.

hey thnx for the reply. I got them from Original PArts Group. Unfortunately i don't know what rate they are. They just list them as a 2" drop spring.

Ok, after checking their site, I have an answer. They recommend KYB shocks for their springs. Now, normally, I'd say to run what they recommend. Those shocks aren't exactly something I'd be recommending though. I'd try and cross reference the part numbers with some Bilstein's or the Edelbrock shocks. You'll be happier. Your butt will be happier. Consider it money well spent.
