i got back from goodguys columbus

the unbelieveable cars that were up there

and here is the coolest part (well to me anyway)

we( meand a buddy) walked past the unique performance booth and there was a line of people

we guessed it was Chip Foose

walked by a few hours later and we were right

come back by a couple hours later again

no line at the booth but guess who walks out of the trailer ?

yep it was Chip again

i walk to the booth and waited a few minutes

he sees me there
i told him that i am a big fan of his work and wanted to thank him

he comes over and shakes my hand and my buddies hand

it was just wow

( ok so i am a little star struck)

i also told him that i was impressed with the fact that he would come out and sign autographs like that

he said that he really liked doing it

i can not say more about the him. He is just a really nice guy

( sometimes when people get famous they get a i am better than you attitude not him )

i will be posting a link shortly to the pictures i took

Foose has actually gotten my wife into car shows because he seems like such a genuinely nice person. Post those pics!!!!

That is awesome. I would probably bite my tongue & not be able to say anything. I wonder if he will be at the Nats in Louisville next month....

I have to agree WOW. The cars were great and the weather was great. I met alot of nice people at the show. To cap off a great weekend I won the Mighty Muscle pick sponsored by Billet Specialties. I feel very honored to get such a prestegious award. I'm the green Camaro on pg. 4 of your pictures ( thanks for the picture). Billet Specialties will have a picture on their site as well. Anyway what a great weekend.

I got a similar story about FOOSE. I was at detroit autorama and I was looking at one of fooses rods...the convertable coupe with orange wire wheels... when I looked to my left and foose and another guy were standing there talking about the car. I froze...didnt know what to say so I turned fast acting like I didnt notice him at first and was like "hey..hows it goin? " I shook his hand, told him the car looked awesome and asked for a pic with him. he was cool as hell and my dad snaped a photo of me and chip next to the rod. after that...I coulda cared less about the rest of the show...that made my day! Im gonna get the photo blown up and framed.....I also seen troy T. and chips new painter charlie from boyds just walkin around....its amazing how many people dont even notice these guys..... .

I walked past Chip Foose at SEMA a couple years ago as he was signing autographs. I thought to myself "Heh, that's Chip Foose" and kept walking. I was oddly more interested in the parts than the girls even.

Chip seems like a great guy. It amazes me how boyd can have such a complex with him.
