OK guys, my car is due for brake pads very shortly. I want what everyone wants-- and that is a brake pad that bites really hard, easy to modulate, doesn't eat rotors, impervious to heat, never fades, and makes no dust at all.... but since that's impossible I'll have to compromise. :hammer:
I'm looking for a pad compound for my PBR setup that is fairly easy on rotors but still bites good and won't give up the ghost when hauling my 3700 lb boat down from 150 (after which it usually gets at least a minute respite before I ask them to do that again...) Low to moderate dusting would be nice!
I could care less if they're noisy. I don't mind moderate dust as long as it is *NON* corrosive dust-- I know some of the more aggressive pad compounds out there can ruin a set of wheels in a hurry because of corrosive dust and I don't want that!
I'm looking for suggestions... people have recommended Hawk HPS, Carbotech Bobcats, The Brake Man #2 or #62, but feel free to offer up some more suggestions. The pads Baer provided actually aren't too bad, anyone know exactly what they are?
Thanks in advance...
