I have the quadralink installed in my car and I have a concern. With the lower 4 link bar at ride height with is level per DSE instructions I only have about 1 inch of travel before the shock starts hitting the bumper. Measuring the shock between mounting bolts I have 12.5" overall.
DSE claims that this is correct and that 1" is enough. Maybe it is, but I would think that going down the road if I hit a bump a few inches high it is going to bottom out fairly easily or else the compression and spring rate is such that they wont yielding a hard ride.
I always thought that ride height on a shock should position it in the center of travel.
Why now use a shorter shock?
Can someone enlighten me on this?
THanks
