The ugly brown truck delivered my Touring-Classics discs today. The parts look to be of nice quality and they provided good installation instructions. I purchased the front 13" Hybrid kit (C4 rotors/C5 calipers) and 12" rear kit.

Has anyone else used either of these kits from TC? Any install tips? The guys at TC have been very helpful so far, and I look forward to getting these babies installed. They ought to help whoa-down my '70 Nova vs. the stock drums.

They look awesome! Does Touring Classics have a website? Where did you order them from?

King67rsss has already posted their web site URL. I ordered everything directly from Touring-Classics, very nice/helpful guys. Once I get going I'll be posting detailed detailed pics of every aspect of the install on a web page.

I just got my C5 kit from them two weeks ago and the rest of the stuff to finish up the C4 stuff in the rear. Jonathan was very helpful! Can't wait to put them in next month.

Has anyone installed these and have any results to post? I might consider a set of these for my camaro since it has disc front (drum hub) and drum rear. Might be a cheaper way to have a nice set of brakes for the 69.

I built my own C5 conversion and I have had a chance to run it pretty hard, they work.

I'm in the middle of the install now on my 69. I have their C5 kit.
High quality kit. I did foul up my stock brake lines though when disconnecting them at the frame, so I ended up buying new ones from Classic Industries. They needed replacing anyway. I should be done with the install next week. The car will be at the Goodguys show in Scottsdale, AZ next month in the Budnik booth. If anyone is going to be there, come by and say hi. I'll post pics when I'm done.

You will love the performance of the C5 fronts. I did the same thing (didn't buy a kit) on one of my 69 camaros, along with LS1 rears.

Will they work on a caprice spindle?

That kit is for the short spindle. There is a kit for tall spindel fbody, basically the same thing. BTW welcome to the site and nice power slide :headbang:

I have been contemplating one of Touring Classics systems for quite a while for my 67 Camaro. Their C5 systems seem to be almost identical to Baer's GT systems. I had been looking at Baer's Pro setups with the Alcon calipers, but it is pretty expensive.

It looks like Stielow put a Baer GT setup on Malitude according to the January 2005 issue of PHR. Long story short I am thinking why spend the extra $$ for the Baer/Alcon deal when the GT (basically a C5 package) setup is good enough for Stielow in a 3700+ pound car?

So guys, is my logic correct? What would you do?

Sorry for hijacking this thread.

It's good enough to slow a really nice daily driver. A dual purpose track car might need a little more brake.
