Had anyone attempted having the exhuast exit before the rear wheels in a 69? Possibly cut into the rockers?

I'm hoping to do this on my '68. I was checking out SpinTech's side exit kit for 1st gens the other day and wondering if you could modify it to sit tighter against the floorpan and cut the hole in the rocker. I haven't looked closely at the underbelly to see if the room is there, though, so it might not even be close. I'm gonna look into it though; I figure if you call SpinTech they'd be able to give you a better idea. They can probably tell you the overall height of the system at it's 'tallest' point and measure from the floorpan down to see where the exhaust tip would end up on the rocker panel.

Anyone have any sound clips of a SpinTech system? I'm sure I could find one on here if I searched.

Try using the search button, you would have found a previous thread covering this exact subject.

Seems like SFC's would be out of the question?

according to this installation by Car Craft Magazine, you should notch the SFC's for clearance. Are you good with a cutting torch and a welder?
