Well after a grueling 5 months I can finally call teh project finished!! It is done! I have worked my tail off teh last few months getting it to where I wanted it. Its really amazing that two months ago I thought I was done, then you continually change things and finally get what you want. I am very happy with the outcome of the car, and hate to see it leave but I must sell it to finance my two other 69's I am building.

yeah I never planned to sell the car. PLan was to keep and enjoy it and use it as the "shop beater" at local shows and advertising. But after getting my hands on a 406 SBC with twins, I decided I would build a another car for myself and let this one go

DId you do the install on the trunk/fiberglass subs? HOw much do you figure in additional weight is added to enclose trunk?
fletcherscustoms
07-06-2006, 07:30 AM
yeah I did all stereo myself! Maybe added 100 pounds total. 15# each sub and box and glass piece is around 60-70 pounds. plus two 8 pound amps. The entire system comes out in less than 10 minutes.

As I told my most recent customer! He asked" How much HP can we get in the camaro?" I simply returned with "How big are your pockets?" lol

How are the trunk side panels held in place?
fletcherscustoms
07-08-2006, 06:08 AM
side panels are held in place with double sided tape.
Nothing is screwed inm everything is either pressure fit or taped in
