View Full Version : Shop in Bay Area for driveshaft shortening?

As the title suggests im looking for a shop to shorten my old driveshaft, however i also have a nicer aluminum driveshaft thats too short, does anyone know if it would be a feasable option to lentghen that one (weld in a longer tube)

You can shorten tubes but no shop will lengthen a driveline.

Certain shops will lengthen a driveline but it costs nearly as much as a new one because all they do is chop the yokes off and reweld in a new tube. By the time you pay for the labor to remove the yokes and then weld in the new tube it costs almost as much as a brand new driveshaft.
