So..... I have always wondered the answer to the following question....

Why is it, that I have the September issue in my hands (and that I will have the October issue here in a couple of days)..... when it is the 3rd day of July ??

It seems that over the last few years the issue delivered has come sooner and sooner than its actual represented month. So should we be looking to get the January 2008 in January 2007 ?? :jump:

Hell, I wondered the same thing.. First.. The september issue isn't supposed to be on the newstands until the 20th of July (about).. so, I don't know why you have it so early. We haven't even shipped the October issue yet so you wont have that in a few days. Infact we don't ship to the printer till late this week.. so stop exagertating.. lol

Ok.. it's sorta like this. The Septermber issue comes out in late July. That's about 1.5 months early.. right? They do this so that if it's still on the newstand come September (for whatever reason) that it will still look "current" and be yanked. If the August issue came out in late July and someone saw it on the stands in mid August they might think (gee, August is mostly over, maybe I should just wait till the next issue).. since we call the issue SEPTEMBER it seems current longer.

I am dead sure I explained that badly but that's how it was explained to me.. lol

Still can't believe people are getting September already.. do you like my photography for the Super Chevy Show and the LS2 story??

Ok... that kinda makes sense. Not badly at all.

This was pretty much an observation of all periodicals, not just yours alone. But, I would have to say that Ill probably see most of the (others that I get) October issues hitting the mailbox around the 12-16 of July.

And, no... I have yet to open it and actually read anything inside. :hammer:

You mean in Super Chevy.. right?

Yea, that was fun.. the SC guys asked me to do it since they felt I had a better understanding of how it all works..

Hey Steve,
I have another ?. Is PHR a monthly mag. I get one every month. I am assuming so. If it is then why do I get letters asking me to renew my subscription for 2 years and 18 issues. Did we lose 3 months a year I didn't know about?

Hey, I don't mind the practice of publishing a month or two early but can you please, please start publishing the lotto numbers too!

I have no idea.. the adds I see say "1 year - 12 issues" or 2 years - 24 issues"

If I had Lotto numbers do you think I would share??? lol

Wow, I'm ashamed that whole concept didn't click with me earlier. I wondered the exact same thing myself. Thanks for the explanation.

Hey, here's one for you.. (things you don't notice)

Red and Yellow are two colors shown to increase hunger.. All fast food signs are in red/yellow.

Think about it.. McDonalds, Burger King, Sonic, Wendys, etc.. just about all of them. Now, don't you feel manipulated??? lol

I just want to know why I get my issue like a week later than half the people on this site? Jeepers, I live in NJ, dead between NYC & Philly. I do not live in the sticks!
