To keep it short and sweet. Last Friday my new Toyota Tundra decided it didn;t like the rear axle. And it came out from under the truck. (due to faulty install of lift components by dealer). Any way I had to have the truck towed back to the dealer. Well the tow guy comes and picks me and the truck up and we start BS about cars. He mentions they have a 69 Camaro at there yard, with them "flippy headlights". So after dropping the truck and getting the loaner I head over to the lot to see for myself. Get there and I am met by the owner of the company that begins to tell me the story of how he got the car. He stated back in 72 it was hit and has been sitting ever since they drug it in. Well we take off across the yard and he tells me I can have whatever I want but he is keeping the motor. Well when we get to the car, I find it was hit be freaking train!!! Passenger frame rail is touching driver rocker!! I begin my investigation by prying open the hood to find a 396 and a 4 speed, or at least whats left of it. Rear tail section was gone. It was a RS front end, with SS emblems on the back panel. Had a 12 bolt that was broke in half. So needless to say car was complete loss. VIN and tag was gone, and everything money wise was broke or shot out!! Even the back ears of the motor were sheared off and still connected to bell housing! So I was heart broken and out 10 minutes of my time.

Cliff Notes: Truck broke down, towed, tow driver tells me of 69 RS Car, see car, hit by train, nothing usuable!!

I am more surprised that a dealer does lifts.

Hell I was too!! Truck was actually the owner of dealerships demo vehicle. He's a flashy guy and had the service guys throw him on some 20's, 33's and a small lift. Along with some tv's, dvd, and back up camera. I know the finance guy there real well and he told me about the truck and said it was for sale cheap. So I bought it! Got it for less than sticker with all the goodies and 1000 miles on it

There are several dealerships in the Atlanta area that lift new trucks.

Must be all the snow they get in Atlanta and the off roading excursions that are popular there? :fart:

And the wealthy contractors and builders who are compensating for something!
