Just in case anyone is missing all the talk about the second annual Tour in the Hills, let me catch everyone up.
There are several High Profile Cars committed to coming.
Steevo and his 68 Camaro
Bob Johnson and the Cuda
Jason and Fuel
SW with both his Camaro and Trans Am
Frank with Prodigy and Eternity
SO Hopefully any fence sitters will go ahead and make plans now to attend. These are some of the premier cars in our hobby right now and will all be together at OUR Event. Not only will these cars be here, but we have a drag strip rented and there will be an autocross too. That weekend also happens to be the weekend of the Fall Grand Run here in Pigeon Forge, so come get your best car fix of the year!
Watch for a registration form in the events section very soon.

Thie following thought just popped into my head:
We will have a selection of well known cars all on the same autocross track on the same day. How'z that for a heads up comparison?

I need to try and find some timing equipment or something, great idea Steve!
I have seen the videos, and I think the malibu will kick that cuda's butt.

Man, would I love to come participate in that! Between the local hs football team and archery hunting right then, that would be right on my "to do" list.
I wonder how much razz I would take to trailer one of the camaros out there (no way would I go that far, push my car that hard, and not have a way to get it back home 2000 miles away).
Tell me again what all events you have planned? (drag/autox/road?)

Bingo, check out our new sponsor MSD and it's new GPS data aquisition system. It's pretty cool. I'm on it already.

That Cuda is old news.....he can't even keep it together......you need to be worrying about the little blue Camaro! :drive2:

I did talk with the track officials today and a couple groups that have been there lately for track days. This is a 3/8's track, used for typical Saturday night racing, that is transformed into a decent crazy 8 style autocross. I will get some video up to show everyone what to expect. The local guys tell me it is a fairly challenging track for an autocross.
I also heard today that the much talked about proposed road course/drag strip track here in Sevier Co. is on the drawing board again and may actually happen. Would that be cool or what if we could have a brand new track to rent here in a year or two? Stay tuned, looks like I need to do some local politicing....lol

1.Tour in the Hills is a 20 or so mile trek thru the mountains here. Probably on Friday Night.
2.Saturday we have the drag strip rented and will be competing there.
3.Sunday is autocross day at the local 3/8 round track converted to a crazy8 style autocross.
4.The whole weekend the town is filled with all types of cars for the grand fall run here.

I got my hands of this video today of the autocross track we will be using. This will give anyone coming an idea of what to expect. Sorry for the link, but I do not know how else to put the video here. You will have to right click and then "save as"
