Lifting at the 1/8th haha

Pretty nervous day, fastest I'd ever been in the 1/4 was a 15 something babying my '69. The '67 is capable of 9.50's or quicker.

First pass I ran all out, messed up the burnout but still had a 1.350 '60 ft., then the car got out of the groove when the front end came down and I lifted to a 6.94 @ 100. Had a .012 light, was happy with that.

Second pass I messed up the burnout again, had a -.001 light and a 1.341 '60 ft. Car ran straight as an arrow but didn't shift and took me a second to realize it, I let up slapped it into high and ran a 6.47 @ 101, irritated me that I didn't get a full pass in. This pass the 1/4 mile timers were still on and that's how I got the 10 second pass without realizing it lol.

That was leaving at 3800 RPM, I'll up it to 4600 next time out and hopefully run some 6.00's.

Definetely an experience I'll never forget...

haha no no no

Actually the car does have a title and working head lights and tail lights. They're either on or off though, don't work when I hit the brakes and no turn signals but I'm going to hook them up just to be funny. I've got a title for it, some day I'd like to retire it to the street when I get a faster tube chassis car.

On a side note I had no additive for the alcohol so when I turned off on the return road I could hardly see, ruined the excitement to say the least. The car's locked in the trailer and I've got no great pics... I'll supply them soon enough.
