My brother just got a 74 hondo jet boat that we're messing with. 454 and straight pipes out the back. fun stuff.

RM, Sorry, I worked at Fountian, in 87' I was doing boat interiors in the daytime 7:30-4 or 5 and at 5am till 7am and I helped with the race boats, I was going to work on the engines but I got my job working on the Space Shuttle, a little more exciting

i've grown up around boats and my dad has had several over the years. Currently have a 32 Trojan. twin 351s. loads of cruising fun.
I also have 2 94 waverunners. I got lucky and my friends dad wanted them gone when he upgraded to a new model.

I had a boat up until last year. It was a 20ft Trophy. Used primarily for fishing. I'm no pleasure boater or speed guy. The next boat I get (when the Camaro is finished) will be a 21' Triton All species, 225 merc, all the bells and whistles. No screwing around. I let my wife talk me into the first boat when we went looking because of the cuddy cabin, porta potty. She was on it 2 times in the 9 years that I owned it. So the next boat is going to be one that I want. I'll be leaving her home this time. LOL!!!!

I have a place on a small lake in Northern Indiana.
Our boats:

1) Supra ski boat..Inboard 350 EFI 340 HP Top speed around 47mph
but it will get there in nothing flat. Great for pulling skiers,tubers...

2)Sea Doo GTX PWC Supercharged 185hp good for 65mph
Fun machine.

3) Harris Kayot 22 foot pontoon. 60 hp mercury 4 stroke
seats 15. Great for cruising/partying...

After I got divorced 2004.:woot: My ex-wife took her portion of the property division and bought a 55 foot 1983 Ocean Yacht. I think it has twin diesels and just sits at the dock. She can't even drive the thing. She made this her home.:wedgie: Yes, she actually lives on it. Hopefully, she will name it the S.S. Minnow and take it on a 3 hour tour.:fingersx:
Anyway, after we sold our home, I found another place to live and bought a 69 Camaro. Hopefully my investment will grow not sink. Plus, I can drive it.:yeah:

Very cool Tony. I have always wanted an old mahogany boat, maybe a Chris Craft, something of that kind. Especially after owning a newer boat, it would be nice to actually have something different on the lake, other than the color of the boat! Thanks for posting.

I had a 16' 70 Kona, big block, berkley jet, diverter all the fun stuff. It was fast and fun and had an amazingly good wake for waterskiing, just too small.
Now I have an 89 Masercraft Barefoot 190, BBC, 13th floor tower (polished alum), big sound system, etc, etc.
Next boat will likely be an X-star, but that maybe a long time from now.
Boats are spendy (mine is paid off so not too bad), but well worth the money I think. Besides I could have worse habits than wakeboarding and watching half naked girls get drunk and dance....

I have a 23ft Lavey Craft with a 454 does about 75 or so and its plenty fast enough for the size. I think I might step up in size next year I have been looking at 28-30 footers.

Mine is a 2004 SeaRay Sundancer 260DA, 300HP 5.7Merc bravo 3 drive. Its a rather smallish 26ft pocket cruiser. Perfect for my family though. Her is a pic of my wife and I and a few friends.

19' Sea Boss center console bay boat. Great for fishing in the river and intercoastal. On calm days it can handle the ocean. It's even decent for skiing, tubing and wakeboarding. We have a blast with it.

My parents have always had boats but I refuse to get into it just yet, don't have that kind of play money right now :(

But I have to say after spending the weekend on a friends new 36' Skater they sure are fun. Pair of sterling 1350's and dancing across the water at 156mph is quite an experience.

I have a boat and I will say this one thing, the two happiest days in a boaters life are the day he buys the boat and the day he sells the boat.

Got a 22 foot 94' Mariah that was a 350 magnum motor which tuliped a valve so as usual when things break you upgrade so I went ahead and build a 383 stroker for it and its definately a fun boat now, next on the list of things to do is thru hull exhaust.

I had an 83 Natique. I was always working on it, thus keeping me from the project car. Finally got tired of repairing it and traded it in on 06 Mastercraft. I really think by the time I traded it, I had all the bugs worked out, but I'll never know. My son helps a lot more on the project when he knows we'll head for the water when there's time.

We did use Fountains for a while- Reggie went for a ride with us in some big west-coast swells & declared us nuts. Around '94, He got tired of redesigning the Express hull to fit our needs, so he just stopped making them for us. Customs still uses Fountains religiously.

I saw 2 of these in VA not long ago. Made out of Kevlar? They were completely gutted and had holes all the way up the side. I think that's the only way to get them surplus. Bad Arss machines...:drive2:

I have a 14' Regal jet boat with a 120HP motor. It will do 55MPH which is fast enough in such a short boat! Does great wake jumps though!

That's how they keep John Q public from running them. Yes- there are made of Kevlar, CF, and std GRP. Most of them have taken 10x the beating most offshore boats see, so they are made unfit for use. After we finished with the fountains, a few guys tried to rebuild the hulls- only to go out & split 'em in half.

And a awsome hull it is, I personally have seen a 40'EC extended cabin, with two bad azz BBC in it run 136mph in the Pamilico sound, now this is a really big boat that went really fast, I asked to go for a ride, but Reggie told me they were doing alittle speed runs, I told them I've been 127 in a little Italian boat big 396 on the back, he said not this time, maybe some other time, damn I wanted to ride in that boat!!
