Anyone out there making "A" pillar pods for the first gen camaro's yet. In particular the '68. Thanks Chris

I thought ATS was going to make them, but I have yet to see a finished product. I don't think anyone in currently making them. Maybe some others will chime in.

Andy thanks for the reply. I e-mailed ATS about these a few months ago. They dropped that project and have decided not to pursue building them. Chris

I talked with Tyler at ATS today and he confirmed that they are not going to make these.

So as of now we are going to start looking into manufacturing these.

How many gauges are people looking to put into these?

we do custom molded a-pillar pods all the time. We just use the stock panel and a couple of universal pods and mod the hell out of them to fit the stock a-pillar then use our special "liquid plastic" to mold it all together and make it look like a stock piece.

I'm interested in a three-gauge pod for my 69 A-body. Is this something you can fabricate?

I would be intersted in maybe a 2 gauge pillar pod if someone makes it. Any more than 2 gauges looks funny, IMO. My fuel pressure and boost gauges would look good there.

Sure, that is a easy one.

There are two ways to do it, one is to make a custom pod that just screws to the OEM pillar or you can acutally mold the pod to the OEM pillar and have it look like something that GM would have produced.

What does it cost for something like that? What size gauges does it hold? I'm looking for stock look not CF. I am also looking for the molded ones not the screw on ones. Please price me for both a 2 gauge and 3 gauge pod. I will look at the car tonight and see which I would like better. Chris

I use a mustang one, bought it from Summit (ATM-10100). It fits great. Just used a heat gun to spread the base a little.

So,I would need to send you a driver-side pillar molding?

I will price out how much to do it for 2 and 3 gauges.

If you can send me the pillar and the universal pods (they are cheap on ebay) and a return shipping slip is the way we usually do out of town work for customers

Any more info on getting some first gen pillar pods made? I would be more then happy to send out a new a-pillar trim panel to have it modified for 2 gauges, assuming the price is reasonable.

3 guage cluster..... 2 5/8" guage size, that way it will fit 2 5/8 and 2 1/16" sizes.

Be careful putting things on the pillars if you plan to track the car. I run a C4 Vet and my 67 Camaro. Just the pillar and vent window are a distraction over the Vet, I am tempted to take the vent windows out if I start to track the car more frequently. Randy

I am sorry I have not responded sooner. This is an item(s) that I will be looking into further after the first of the year.
I need to see how much it is going to cost for tooling and actual production pieces. I also want to make sure that I have a quality product not just something out on the market to fit these cars.

Shannon, did you ever look into the pillar pods? This is something that I'd definitly buy if you guys started making them.

The pillar pods are on the list to do. I have been concentrating on several different new pedal sets that I have had in work for awhile.
The new pedal sets have taken most of my time recently as well as maintaining the orders for the established sets.

i own a body shop...this is very easy to do with minor auto body skills(depending on how you want it), get a product made be lord fuzor called 100ez its a heat set and is extremely strong and durable,
