After that nice letter from Victor @ Precision Brakes a month ago I felt all warm and fuzzy.
Now, about 8 weeks after ordering the front brake kit for my 67 camaro, and the rear brake kit for it 3 weeks ago (that I was told was in stock) I have not seen either.
I sent an email last week asking for an update, and have not recieved any reply.
My warm and fuzzy has turned into a cold *****ly that is turning into a !@##$%^&*!!!!!!
How about some timely response there Precision Brake Company????

Yikes.
Can I ask a question though.....why would you take a chance on them when there are other brake companies you can buy from? Most people buy from Wilwood and Baer and have zero problems. If it's affordablity you're looking for, try Noel over at Touring Classics. They don't mess around over there. You can get an entire C5 front brake kit with master cylinder and brake lines, everything you need for $650. How the hell can you beat that? You can't, brother...you just can't.
If I were you I would call PB tomorrow and cancel your order. If you used a credit card, call the credit card company and see what can be done about stopping the payment as most places won't bill you until the product is shipped.
I know Precision Brakes is a sponser here and all but.......damn it man.....what in the name of GOD is their major malfuntion over there??!! At this point I'm for wiping our asses with their money, sending it back to them, and tossing these jokers over the fence.

I have never had a problem with backcharging a company when they have failed to deliver. Call your CC company give them the details. They most likely will handle the situation in short order.
Not responding to communication from someone that has paid you for a product they have yet to recieve is unacceptable.

Shameless plug: I ordered my brakes from Prodigy Customs and they came earlier than expected, less than three weeks and that is also including a delay since Wilwood ran out of anodized hats. If you cancel, try them out.

We will not use Precision for brakes again. To many headaches, poor customer service, multiple calls and follow ups for the forgotten parts on our order.
I will second going to Frank. He helped us out and I didn't even buy anything from him!!! I will next time though.

Since they are supporting vendors here maybe Larry needs to be contacted and shown this thread. He can probably help.

Well I ordered long enough ago (when they were getting high praises on here and their #1 man was still aboard) that they seemed to have a good rep, and I needed the kit to function with my existing dropped spindle, which I could'nt find anyone else I contacted to do. The very next week PB seemed to go in the toilet.
The bad news is, they were sent one side of my front end to make sure everything fit, and we got their template and returned the info 2 weeks ago.
I will be major screwed if I don;t get the car put together in the next month, and MAJOR po'd!

I can't even tell you how unhappy I am with them! I ordered brakes from them for my "shop beater" project. Order 4 piston, 13" wilwoods for all four corners, and Mr. Parker rear parking brake! Was told 3 to 4 weeks from time of order called back in three weeks to find out my order hasn;t even been started yet. Ended up taking over 6 weeks, for something I was told was in stock. Never received the parking brake setup, 10 weeks after the order so called and cancelled them. Then once I got everything paying for NDA shipping on everything due to timeline I was trying to meet. I ended up with a bunch of brake line that didn't fit, no parking brakes, wrong caliper braclets, etc. I had nothing but problems with them. Then just last week I called to get replacement front braided lines for a car, and they charged me $54 NDA shipping for them. When I had just paid summit racing $48 for NDA shipping for a radiator, carb, air filter, adn some other ****.

And I thought I was the only ahole here, now you guys tell me you are all ones too? Shame on each and every one of you!!! tisk, tisk.
UPDATE: Recieved a call from Victor @ PB this morning. I know he'll be perusing this post, so Vic, feel free to correct me if I am wrong.
He said he did not recieve my email from last week (or another guys that was sent). Not their fault. I am forwarding that email to him this morning. We did not discuss the 3 previous calls I made over the course of this transaction, which resulted in, "I don't know about that" type replies, but "I'll get back to you on it". I believe I got 1 call back about 4 weeks ago, but I'm not going to bring that up, cause I don't want to sour the situation at all.
Victor told me in no uncertain terms, I must have misunderstood the delivery time, that it was the first week of JULY, not JUNE. In all fairness, at my advanced age July sounds just like June, so I guess that is possible. After all, 2 months is pretty unreasonable for this custom front kit, 3 months is more like it. The rear kit I ordered a month ago was not sent by Wilwood on time, so it could not be drilled and slotted to match the front kit yet. Not PB's fault.
They (PB) have a girl that is supposed to keep the customer up to date on progress (or lack thereof) but it appears she has'nt called me. Kinda not their fault?
It was decided though, that if I don't have both kits, my parts that were sent, my brake fluid, and everything does'nt fit just PERFECTLY by July 8th, I can call them and raise hell, get back on this PT site and call them whatever names I want to, and generally make more of an ass of myself.
Until then I should shut the hell up! That should just about cover it right Victor? Sorry you got your ass chewed over this whole misunderstanding. After all, 3 months is most reasonable.

I second noel at touring customs. I hadn't ordered from them yet but he has been there to answer pretty much all of my questions about whatever I can think to ask. I'll most than likely at least order a front kit from them

I second noel at touring customs. I ordered from Noel about a year ago. You will not be disappointed. He under promised and over delivered! I got my rear kit two weeks before they were promised and the front kit a week before it was promised.

Dan I feel for you...that really blows! thing pisses me off more is people promising thing and not delivering on them. One last thing that tops it all is when they say they will call you and never do, that really gets my blood boiling.

Totally their fault. Their employee is not doing her job!
Until then I should shut the hell up!
I hope that was your wording, not his.

I glad to see this thread persisting. Thanks Larry! Perhaps they thought their banner would only buy them good word-of-mouth? Geez, I hope not.
In any case, it seems that a lot of automotive companies completely lack any real understanding of customer service. I've worked professional customer service in banking and counter sales for many years, at both the front line and from a more managerial/administrative level, and it seems that "car guy" companies are often run in a less efficient/organized/professional way. The companies that do always get more of my business, and I never hesitate to recommend them. They funny thing is that it's not really that hard... just follow the golden rule of "treat others as you would like to be treated". Do you think anyone at PB would be satisfied with "not our fault" if they needed home a/c service or a new refridgerator or gutter repair? Or if they're bank said "our girl was supposed to call you, but your account was defrauded... sorry about that, but it's not our fault." Hell no! They'd just go somewhere better and get better service.
