They were originally said to sell for over $400k looks like they changed there business model and dropped the price more in line with the Foose camaros.

I thought the balwin car at SEMA and such was a "fully optioned" car.. hence the higher price. Sounds like new cars START at $180k and go up. I bet that with all the options it will be well over $300k..

Still a price drop though.. isn't competition (from Unique) a wonderful thing.. lol

There are three package levels: SS-427, Phase III and SuperCoupe. The big money car shown at SEMA last year and auctioned at is Barret Jackson is the superCoupe. They are not reacting to competition. Rather, they have always intended for the SS427 and Phase III cars to be priced lower than the flagship SuperCoupe.

I wonder whose going to be building them. I'm not sure Time Machines and Baldwin were on the same page. I watched that one run at Barrett..Ron Pratt bought it..it was a strange way that car sold across the block..just didn't feel right to me and lots of others. I know Barrett is far and away the straightest auction house in the game, but that one just looked strange to lots of people. i was told it was sold and that was the exact deal. I believe it but it sure raised my eyebrows. There just was no interest at all in that car.

Are you talking about that VERY long pause in the bidding?

If they sell even a dozen of these for $180k+, GM needs to take notice. A $30k car that looks like a 69 Camaro will sell well.

At this time, the builders are Blue Moon Motorsports.

Obviously, the principles at Motion are learning that production car building is a massive undertaking. Building one full-on custom car is a challenge. Building nine more just like it is even more difficult.

Are you talking about that VERY long pause in the bidding? LOL, I was calling to tell them to raise the price so I could win the contest at Lateral-g.net.... :slap:

That auction sure didn't feel right from my armchair.

I don 't need to get into it but if you watch the rerun you can see it's just not a normal sale

you won't see Reggie paying the bucks for one i'll guarantee you. I was talking to Mike Staveski (Time Machines) about the Mopars at the Mansion in Octob er, and asked him who was making them now. He said that Baldwin is building the cookie cutter cheap cars themself and subbing out some work. One of the guys that left Time Machines will be building the big buck cars if they get an order he thinks.

I see Barry White cheering when his 69 Camaro brings $60K or so at auction. I thought it looked as good as a Motion car..

I am not sure Blue Moon is building the cars, but they are supplying the rear set ups for the Phase 3 cars as I understand it. I think they have a few shops building. And the shop manager for Time machines is building the Super Coupes as they sell. And Super Coupes are still huge money.

That is funny that you say that the auction didn't look right. I guess you were there? From TV land it sure looked odd. There was a huge pause and when the camera went to Rosen? he looked like a deer in the headlights. The other bidder was the guy in the pony tail who also looked familar?

Am I the only one who thought they were tacky looking cars even back in the early days? Fast as hell but I would take my order without the flash.

I think the orig building on Sunrise is now a stereo place?

Yenko and Baldwin were both hideous with their decals, logos on seats..beyond tacky..Baldwin with side pipes, 427 vette hoods..ugh..of course I didn't like the tacky GTO Judge decals and lots of the add on garbage they put on some cars..first thing when you got it home..get out the hair dryer and get that crap off
