Getting ready to do the rear C5 Rotor/Caliper on my GTO. Already have the calipers and rotors but am looking for information on making the stock e-brake drum work. Anyone done this? Any part numbers for the parts needed from GM? thanks

I have done the 98-up LS-1 rear discs (essentially same as C5 rears) on my 69 Camaro. I might be able to help, what is your question about the parking brakes, exactly?

I need everything except calipers and rotors. know where i can see some pictures of the stuff or any part numbers? did you get your stuff from a donor car? i think i need to get the stuff so i can look it over and see what i need to do for mounting. thanks for any help you can provide.

One gentleman did a good job of listing all of the GM part numbers here:

98+ LS1 rear brake components (http://members.fbody.com/86firebird/ls1/ls1brakes.htm)

I ordered the parking brake cables and mount brackets from gmpartsdirect.com, and I just cut off the un-needed mounting points on the brackets and smoothed out the bracket...don't worry about it too much, it will become pretty obvious what to do, once you have the parts in hand. I will try to get some photos of my car's e-brake setup and post them on my webshots page.

i want to jump in here. every conversion i find is for an F body rear with clocking the calipers or moving the shocks in. is there any issues for an A body rear? thanks Rob

i can't say for sure as i have not done it but i think we'll be ok without moving them. both our shocks are on the back and appear to be out of the way. anyone done it and know for sure?
