Has anyone ever been to any of the EFI University (http://www.efi101.com/index.html) classes? They will be having EFI-101 (http://www.efi101.com/efi101.html) near my house next month. Just wondering if its worth the $500. I think I have a pretty good basic knowlege, and was thinking since it is mostly classroom anyway, a good book or two may be just as insightfull.:dunno:

Yes, I highly recommend it. Ben is an excellent teacher. I took the 1st class, and even learned some neat stuff on internal combustion engine dynamics I had never thought about before. I also recommend the 2nd class if you plan on doing any of your own tuning. There's nothing like one-on-one, hands on experience.

I can't say about the worth of the class, but if you learn well from books, you could save a lot of money (towards an EFI setup?) by getting Jeff Hartman's book "Tuning and Modifying Engine Management Systems" and then asking question here and at other sites on the web. LS1tech.com has a robust forum that's got a lot of members. Chevytalk.com has an EFI forum that is top notch.

I went to some of the Bosch seminars before, and they go so much into the basics that out of 8 hours I got like a half hour of new info.
