Damn nice car. I wouldn't worry about the name too much. I call to mine all the time and it never comes when I call. Maybe you should name it Trigger, that horse always came when ther Lone Ranger called.

Lemon Drop (What I meant to say.. I must of been tired.. lol)
It's hard to pick a name for someones car.. you end up just going by what you see.. which is yellow.
name it based on the "personality" of the car or how you want people to see it.
Although the name I mentioned isn't bad.. lol.. after all it's a drop-top.. and it's yellow :)

I like "Yellow Drop," but that made me think of "Lemon Drop," which would be okay except it might not be a good idea to use the word "lemon" in any name for a car.
The color yellow made me think of someone who is fearful (e.g., yellow-bellied). Maybe the car is so tough, it scared itself. So . . . how about "Fear" as its name?
Or, how about "Mellow-dy" -- combining melody (the car sings like a song) with mellow (the car is mellow/yellow)?
Of course, the color yellow makes people think of the sun, so how about "Solar" or "Sun Storm" or some other sun-themed-name?
Okay, maybe these are stupid, but it's fun trying to come up with them!
Josh
P.S. Regardless of the name, the car looks amazing!

THANKS for the compliments and the names!! Keep them coming!! I have come up with a couple of names as well, such as Whiplash, Shokwave, Sweet-n-Low, Lemon Drop, X-factor and Yellow Fever. I kind of like Solar or sun storm, How about Solar Flash or Solar Flare?? Anyway , keep the names rollin' in!!! Thanks!!!

every car needs a name...I wouldnt worry so much as relating the name to an actual feature on the car but think about its personality. haha sounds dumb but seriously. What does your car remind you of?
for example i bought my car in the ghetto part of atlanta from a black guy...so I call him mac because he's mackin it out. haha

How about changing the original name.
Nova means "no go" in spanish. Looking at that engine we know that is a lie. So change it to Siva for a loose "yes it goes" translation or Varapido for "goes fast" :drive2:

Coming up with a name is definately not easy, but sometimes it just comes to you. I had a 67 BB Chevelle I named Misty, a jet black 69 rs/ss I called BLACK ATTACK, and currently my 69 Camaro convertible I call TOOFUN...
Point is all of the names came from a personal experience while either working or driving on these cars. I guess it is all up to you. Many build their cars with a certain theme from the get go, others derive a name from the feeling or experience they get from their ride. It is all personal. Dont be in a rush to get a name...drive it, enjoy it and a name may come to you all on its own.
If I was to build another car it would probably be a 67 nova with a fat arse BIG BLOCK in it. "GO TIME" from Jerry Seinfeld seems to stick in my mind for some reason. Or a camaro/viper hybrid I could call "VIPARO"

You could always name it "my nova".
Just in case you were wondering... A nova (pl. novae) is a cataclysmic nuclear explosion caused by the accretion of hydrogen onto the surface of a white dwarf star. So maybe you could use something like "cataclysmic nuclear explosion caused by the accretion of hydrogen onto the surface of a white dwarf star"? or, more simply, "KABOOOM!"? That sounds kinda catchy to me...
Then again, a nova only occurs when a white dwarf has a companion star that has overflowed it's roche lobe, so maybe something like "lil buddy"?
The reaction involved in a nova is nuclear fusion of helium, so "fusion" is always an option.
The term nova comes from the first supernova observed by a human being, Tycho Brahe, who may possibly have had the best eyesight of any person in history. He wrote about it in his book "Di Stella Nova" (Concerning the new star). This was, in fact, a supernova, but no distinction was made between the two phenomena until the 1930s. So maybe you could go with something like "Supernova"? Or "The Tychomobile"?
Then again, you can't get much better than "top banana".

has somebody mentiond ultrviolet or radiation
or G2.
The Sun is a typical G2 star. G stars are classified as having a temperature in the range of 5000 to 6000 K, and a color ranging from white to yellow. Spectrally, G stars show most predominantly the lines of ionized calcium. Lines from ionized and neutral metals are present. Lines from ionized hydrogen show up weakly.
