View Full Version : I couldn't wait... the red '68 from a few weeks ago
These are just a few quick and dirty shots. Not the best by any means, because I'm still doing processing on the ones that really stood out, but something to check out.
This car so phenomenal, the first time I've ever had paint so good it was hard to shoot. My circular polarizer got a helluva work out.
So again, this are just some of the bad ones, but to give you a look at this car.

Nice car. If you dont mind me asking what wheels are those? And what size are they?
Not my car, really wish it was :)
I saw it a few weeks ago at a car show, it was rolling on 16's with a different motor back in 1984, and was stored until recently when it got bigger brakes, bigger wheels, and a new motor. it was mostly pro-toured out back then!
ok ok.. one more...

Awesome shots!! I'm getting ready to take a photography class in the fall. I doubt we'll get to do much with cars, but hopefully the fundamentals will apply universally. Any tips for me? A certain book/website/etc. that you would recommend? I'd love to be able to take pictures like that.

Killer shots.. you shoot professionally? That your car? (both may be stupid questions.. lol)
Nice..
Deep Blue: Forums.dieselstation.com is the best resource I can give you for now. Very smart guys with a few pros that are brilliant.
Mr.Rupp: Thanks, not my car, but I'll shoot ya an e-mail with some info on it if ya want. I don't shoot professionally (cough, yet)... but there is this photo contest for this great car magazine I read all the time coming up that I'm planning on entering... you may have heard about it :)
Here's a few more, and one that's desktop sized

The bottom one is what's called HDR, high dynamic range imaging. It's 3 shots merged, at 2stops difference, it gets data more like your eye, but monitors can't display all that info, so you kinda compress all that together into what the monitor can display, cool stuff. But that's why it looks a tad bit fake, it's manipulated, but not like things normally are via 'airbrushing'.
...did you guys want any of the others desktop sized?
