Well I just got back from E-Town and wow what a great time. First let me say that its was great to FINALLY get to meet some of the folks that make up this awsome site. Bill, Steve and his wife, Jason, Charlie and his wife, Ishmail, BozoHanson, Jeff, and all their friends, and whomever I'm forgetting, you guys are the best!!! The most friendly bunch you could ever have the pleasure of meeting....

It was awsome indeed, These cars are 100000 times betting looking in person! So without further adoo, the pics... and there's alot..

Here are my pics from the Power Tour (click the thumbnails for larger versions). Met quite a few Pro-Touring members along the way. My Dad and I had a GREAT time. 3571 miles total. Averaged 13.7mpg.

I was lucky and got a few pics of the Nova on HotRod.com (see link below). My pics are about halfway down the page, but the coolest are the first six pics of Herb McCandless' 1962 Imperial. Not so much the car, although it is awesome as well, but having the opportunity to meet a legend such as Herb McCandless. For those of you that don't know Herb McCandless is to Mopar drag racing like Don Garlits is to Chevrolet drag racing. He has drag raced everything under the sun, but most notably are the Sox & Martin cars (http://www.quartermilestones.com/photos/raymann2/RMP7059.jpg). Dad and I stopped to look at the Imperial not realizing who the owner was. When he introduced himself Dad's jaw dropped to the ground. Mr. McCandless was easily the nicest person we met on the Tour and it was truly an honor to meet and talk with him at nearly every stop.

Yeah, driven in and out of a trailer all weekend. Driven on the event grounds. And even then they melted the hood. So me a car that made the trip on its own power, damn a show car.
Bob and I sat and watched it in the parade leaving Orlando, and go straight to a trailer. Majically it would show up at every event, not a speck of dirt on it. It is a beautiful piece of art, but that is it. I would rather smell the fresh scent of burnt rubber myself.

car belongs to a guy named Jack Jenkins..from the Carolinas..had a fuel pump go out just as the cruise started..later the hood blew up and I'm not sure what all happened..he had a black mid year corvette coupe with a ZR1 engine..ran the one lap about 5 years ago with it..then sold it at Barrett Jackson about 3 years ago in West Palm...then had a 55 red chevy 210..campaigned it pretty heavily..real nice guy

Anyway, cool looking car, just wish it could/would of been driven on the tour. Says it has a LT5 in it and was at SEMA last year, did anyone see it there??

I saw it there and at the Detroit Autorama too...I've never seen Jack's son with the car. I'm sure Jack paid to have it done..probably lists his son as the owner for one reason or another..I imagine we'll see it at Columbus too

While definitely cool, I overheard them saying it was a repro. I also believe it since the trim tag was blank. Also, I only saw it in Englishtown.
