Maybe not. The CC8 and CCR used Ford motors.However,the website is listing the engine in the CCX as a Koenigsegg V-8 w/Rotrex superchargers. I believe the rotrex is the blower that uses a turbo compressor housing.

Anyone have specifics?

hey, the first time top gear tested the first Koenigsegg, it had a ford v8, i wonder what thay are using now? sounds wild!!

It's a sweet ride, the doors are the coolest part about that car.

Other than that I hate to say it, but the Zonda F roadster with that 7.3L N/A V12 is a much sexier car, especially when the whole thing is raw carbon.

I remember in Iraq a buddy had his wife send out this supercar comparison video with this english guy. When he got to the Koenigsegg and opened those doors I'll never forget what he said. And I quote,

"A perfect example of a dyhedral syncrohelixacal door actuator."

I probably didn't spell that right but that came oof his lips as if he was saying, "man these are some nice doors." Man was I impressed.
