So, anyone else going to meet Frank, Bob, Jason, Bill, Kevin, and the rest of those lucky sob's at e-town Friday afternoon? I'm looking at getting there in the late afternoon to hang and check out all the pt.com rides.

I plan on attending after work, should be there by 4:30, that is as long as the weather holds out for those guys, I sure hope it does!

Plan on being there but I just can't see how Englishtown is going to support all those cars. For those of you who aren't from the area there is only 2 lanes of traffic and each going opposing ways. That means only one small long lane heading into Park.
When they have the swap meet it can take an hour just to get to the main road and there is about a 1/4 of thre crowd. Also the locals complain to the Police to shut it down all the time.
It will interesting. Bring water and plenty of patience.

I won't be able to make it. My wife is going in for a C-section on Thursday for kid number 2!
Plus, my car is still in pieces. Maybe I'll be at the kickoff event for the next Powertour, since it should leave from E-town, right?

It will be interesting for sure. Actually 527 or Englishtown Rd. isn't the only road leading to the track. You can also use the entrance by the airport which leads you south and eventually toward 9. For some reason I don't think Friday will be as bad as Saturday, but I could be horribly wrong. If your coming from the North once you get passed Texas Rd it usually moves better. I'm trying to get there before 3 to avoid any potential bs....

...For some reason I don't think Friday will be as bad as Saturday, but I could be horribly wrong....If it is, that is nutty. Saturday is wrap up for long haulers only.

I will going on Friday also - if the weather is not absurd I will be taking the Nomad. I have Jason's cell number and will be meeting him when they get there. It costs $20.00 to get in and as far as traffic goes I can't imagine it would be anywhere need the diaster the swap meets are or a national NHRA event. 2000+ Power Tour long haulers and the crowd that shows up to meet them - compared to 100000+. I don't think we'll be too bad but we'll have to wait and see.

Well its shaping up to be what I think a really nice day here in OB, so if you were on the fence about coming or bringing your rides gas them up!
I'll be heading over at around 12:30, 1 which is I think about the time they should be rolling in... I'm not sure how they will organize the parking so I'll probably just walk around till I find a familiar car....
Here's my cell if anyone has a question:

Englishtown was great. What a neat track. Great seating, lush green surroundings, good air, good traction, etc. etc. It reminded me of Wrigley Field in a way.

If you think that was lush surroundings, try Maple Grove in PA. Nothing but trees & corn :)
