internal balance

hi, just removed the balancer from big block chev i assumned was external balance ,but there is no weights on the inside of balancer is this a sure sign of the motor being internaly balanced?

Were did the motor come from. Is it original, crate- special build. Just because the balancer does not have weights on it do not assume that it is internaly balanced.

could be... the 396/402 and 427 were internal balance.. it was only the 4 inch stroke crank of the 454 that i was externally ballanced all of this applies to gen IV engines.. so alittle more specific info please.. preforably crank casting/forging number and stroke
