Hometown Hotrodding? Hell I'd give this car a feature. I mean this is after all one of those "Cars You Need To Build" that they were shoutin' about a few issues back.

Love the paint scheme. Just a really cool/change of pace Hot Rod. Congrats to you and your Dad, you've done a terrific job.

Britny - Hope I spelled it correct - The car is looking great. As I can see you have been able to keep Jim away from it. Looking forward to seeing it this weekend.

Very funny... :slap: cometchick, you're probably used to that kinda thing by now, aren't ya... I knew a guy that had a '74 GTO that had a windshield banner that said "NOT A NOVA".

BTW, I didn't see where you'd mentioned the name of the color yet??? The curiousity is killiing me.:seizure:

Brat (Brittany) can't sign on to the site from home, so she is limited to when she can answer. I (obviously) made up Brat-Bling Gold because the color didn't have a name. She picked it out of a paint book from a page of golds with numbers only. I can't remember the paint brand.

it's funny I knew I wanted to paint my car gold & two tone it black. David, the owner of the custom shop that did all of the work on my car, gave my dad a paint book & my Dad picked out the gold he liked & then later I was given the book & we picked out the same color...we just knew taht it was the perfect color

This Gold was a custom mix out of our DeBeers base coat color charts. We can mix about any combo that you could want.

I am currently putting together some ideas for building my wife a 1971 Maverick Grabber. I've already bought five Mavericks to make sure I have plenty of parts, now I am looking at our complete plan as far as modifications. We do know the paint scheme, it will be a correct 1971 color (light pewter metallic) with the black Grabber stripes. I have a Grabber to use for parts, but we may be using a regular hood with the Comet scoop. Mechanicals will probably be a fuel injected 5.0 with aluminum heads, we are back and forth between using a 5-speed or AOD. Would you mind sharing what the mechanicals are on your car, as well as suspension/interior/brakes and such?
