I have a 1995 Trans Am at my disposal, it has the LT1 and 6 speed which I want to swap in. I also want to put the interior in my '67 Bird. My question is, I'm going to have all these suspension parts left over from the Trans Am, and I want to know who, if anybody makes a kit to utilize these parts in my '67? Do I have to get an entire custom subframe if even available, or are there kits to use this on my existing subframe? I know these are rookie questions, but I'm just now swinging towards the pro touring scene, so any help would be appreciated. Feel free to email me links or responses to: [email protected]

Thanks,
Patrick

Unfortunetly there is no kit. It would take many, many $$ to make it work.

The 4th gen suspension is not all that much better than what you have.

Get a pair of ATS spindles, delrin bushings for the control arms, springs and hotchkis front sway bar and you are just as good.

thanks for these replies, I am extremely new to pro touring and thought"Holy Cow" I've got the 1995 Trans Am, I wonder what all will transfer over. There are soooo many suspension changes out there I didn't know what all was available. I'm reading Camaroboy69's posts because of his nice interior work. Appreciate the suspension heads up, I will probably yank the drivetrain and interior and try to sell whats left.

Not practical, but an interesting note:

The last CamaroPerformers there was a company that is taking the 1st gen body and grafting it onto a 4th gen. They are actually patenting the process and it is serious coinage.

Realistically though, do what your last post said.

You could probably adapt the front/rear disc brakes from the 95 T/A if your doing this on a budget.

Fronts are 11" with iron single piston calipers, same as the 69 brakes.

The rears are a good swap.
