Well I just got home from picking up a 1983 Malibu "Woodie" Wagon. After looking for sometime I was finally able to locate one here in the Bay Area. I can now say I am apart of the wagon club. Oh and I didn't forget :postpics:. So I will be taking some and posting them tomorrow. Just had to share with everyone since there has been some recent talk about what wagons some of you have.
You just posted this on a Malibu forum also...lol..its all good!!

Yeah I got a little excited about finally getting a wagon. Heres 2 pictures of it. The first is with the original wheels. The second was after I washed it and put on the 17 inch billet rallyes.

very sweet wagon.... I have an 83 wagon also, love these body styles. I did a little photoshop and lowered it and removed the handles, marker lights and gave you 18's. just foolin around....

Hey thanks for the photochop. Thats what I eventually want to do with it. Lowered but keep the lights and use different handles. I'll have to use that as my backdrop on my computer. The stance is perfect.

Whats that baby got under the hood- 267 ci of beast? LOL that is what my malibu had, it barely would turn em over in the rain. Good thing though, the car was not abused, that was impossible!

LOL. Its got a little more than that Bill but not much. Stock 305 w/AC & 125,900 miles. After realizing how clean it is I think I'm just going to give it a repaint and new wood vinyl. Driving it with my girls in it is really cool.

Haha, I just had to be different and find one with the wood. There was a nice black woodie wagon in an issue of Chevelle (Super Chevy) Magazine that cuaght my attention. Since then I've been hooked on finding one. I was actually trying to find more info on that particular wagon if anyone is familiar with it. I believe its located somewhere in Washington with the license plate reading "WDPCKR". Can remember exactly what year (somewhere between 78-83). Ok enough running at the mouth.

The wood grain makes it even better! Throw some vintage wheels on it, a fresh coat of white . . ..... & leave the faux wood. The photo-shopped pic nails the 'look'.

Your right about the stance. I think I will try and nail that look. But I want to see if Chromaholic could add the parking lights back on it but level the front with the rear right under the wood.

Thats cool but can you put the front fender light right under the wood trim on the white of the fender. Level with the rear.

thought I'd suck the bumpers in a little, tint the windows and remove the roof rack for ya too. Still with the 17s, a slight rake forward and the moved light. I also fixed the faded "wood" while i was there.
