Hi, I am new to this forum and have just started to educate myself. Before today I didn't even know the term pro-touring existed. All I knew is I wanted to build a car (69 Camaro is in my head now) and put the best steering, suspension, brakes, and motor that I can afford. Can you guys put me onto the best parts suppliers and/or catalogs so I can start to understand what is available.
I saw a AAR Cuda (not sure if it was a clone or not) on the power tour year before last that had an independent rear suspension. It was a beautiful car. It's really what got me interested in this.
Thanks,
Mitch

welcome from another newbie on the site... i have built a 65 mustang to handle, it was called a restomod when i started the build, and i guess its pro touring the buzzword is now, but onething remains unchanged, bolt-ons wont get you where you want to go... but clever modifications of the original stuff will, lowering the uppercontrollarms (is it called the "gold.. somthing" modification on a camaro, and shelby on a musang), also the etock controll arms can be strengthened, brakes can be swapped to late model 13 inch ones much much cheaper than adding baer or willwood and so on... so my advice is to plan where you want to go, and use this forum as much as you can, it will save you a fortune and you will propably end up with a better overall car than a bolt-on wonder ever would be...
