Looks good. What are you doing about the old AC and heater hose holes in the firewall? Just asking since I have the same.

Made more this weekend got the rear in, i have a DSE mini tub kit,
LS1 rear brakes, it's all fitting together nicely, mock it up, break it down for powder coating, Calling about my axles installation, D/S in 5 min,

Steve68

Got the axles all figured out, called the D/S place, not too bad of a price, installed the axles less bearings,

put the brakes on, big brakes look good on the rear, everything fits good,

Tried to post some pics but they were too big, my brother should be here this weekend, he's MSE, network admin, he'll learn me good,

I guess you can call this back from the dead,

I didn't even know I had a thread here, someone actually told me about it,

I've changed some things on the car, have 3 adults now, since they are grown, I have time to work on this, try to finish this thing before I'm too old to work on it,

I'll post some pics as I remember to,

Some pics,

Sorry there so big, anybody help make them smaller, there from my phone,

1st 2 pictures are from the 80's Centerlines, Mild 454, T400 JW 2500 stall converter, shift kit, 4:11 gears in the 12 bolt, fun car, motor and trans didn't last to long,

The rest are pretty recent with finishing up the G Link welding the brackets on,

Basically a LS6 dart heads, MTI X1 cam, all studded and ARP fasteners, T56, Speartech harness, just mocking different parts up,

Couple of pictures of wheel fitment, 335/30/18, 18x12 Fikse Profil 13, little tight but the outer wheel house and quarters can be trimmed back and reshaped , one quarter is factory GM and ones a replacement, supposedly the best on the market when I bought it long ago, both areas are really wide,

I know this isnt as exciting as all the other cars here and everything I'm doing has been done a thousand times over,

I actually started building this car as Stielow was building the Red Witch and Larrys car was on the cover of a magazine, but life got in the way, and I raised 3 daughters that are now adults....

I don't think that is the case. I just lurk here for ideas until I find the right chassis for me and I enjoy every one of these builds. Even if they seem like it isn't anything groundbreaking, there will always be little things you have to overcome that someone else may not have documented or solved the same way.

Maybe. but like I said when I started, it was all cool and new parts, now its all run of the mill stuff, but to me its all still cool stuff, and I'm happy to post pics of what I get done, when I can get things done,

Actually going order a couple of parts at the end of the week, thats still exciting,

I had Larry change the title to this, something more suitable to what the car is about,

Steve68

Was looking at the car yesterday, since I'm waiting on someone else, I'm going to finish up the DSE tubs, DSE subframe connectors, ordered the DSE trunk corners, also got down out off the loft the Rick tanks gas tank, and the radiator core support, and the Griffin LS radiator, might as well start the mock up on these parts, pics will follow,

I have a date at the shop, ready to drop the rear for narrowing and powder coating,

Steve68
06-17-2022, 11:03 PM
As I look at the date when I last posted,

I laugh, since 2021, I now take care of my elderly parents and in laws, lost my father after the last post in 21' and the rest are slowly failing, keeps it interesting and no time, cars still in the same position, bolted on some parts here and there,

It'll all work out eventually, pick away here and there,

Good Luck to you! Never give up. Remember even an hour a week will add up. Hope to see you and your car at an event soon!

Thanks, I'm not, got my shop cleaned out from all my fathers stuff, so I'm back to getting under it and measuring the rear end and get it moving again,
