Intake gasket leaks on some, bad gas mileage (12-14mpg). front end rebuild around 150,000 at the latest. Good trucks though overall. I had a 90 2wd that had 470,000miles on it when I sold it. My dad drove it from Louisinana (8+hours) one 4th of July weekend with the thermostat stuck shut and the temp guage pegged the whole way home at around 90mph! It had around 200,000 miles on it then. Then I had it out of water once (spit a head gasket) and drove it a couple miles to the next exit to get off the interstate. It had about 400,000 miles on it at that point. So it became a science project to see how long it would go, so I just changed the head gasket only, and it is still going today (for someone else).

Trans leaks were also a problem.

do you think 6,000 dollars for a truck in really good shape with 71000 miles and extra set of wheels with snow tires is a lot for a truck 12 years old already.
thanks
