yeah that has to be my favorite episode. His reaction at the end is priceless. What a great guy, I look forward to meeting him someday. I think that he is an amazing person, down to earth and very giving. I have a Foose banner in my garage, along with an Overhaulin' one. It's my favorte show on TV!
Watched it last night for the first time. Nice to see a person as well respected and talented as Foose, is still humble and down to earth like that. Pretty darn emotional, I'd say that was their best episode to date. Plus that 56' is awesome!!! With the show Foose gets more and more respect and fans, just the opposite of Boyd!

Has anyone else noticed the show seems to be on the decline in quality and Foose's involvement? I was watching the marathon yesterday and they had freakin' West Coast Customs do a bunch of work on one of the cars! Those guys couldn't wrench their way out of a wet paper bag! It seems to be turning into one long commercial for Summit/Jegs/Year One/OPG/O'Reilly/GM Performance, etc. Not to mention, that '71 Pro Street Camaro was hideous.

dont fault the west coast guys based only on what you see on "pimp my ride" They turn out some great cars. Some of thier people are VERY talented. Its getting harder and harder to find shops willing to donate time and parts for so little exposure.
(the camaro was a travisty that i cannot belive foose had anything to do with. the sleep deprivation must be getting to him)
I like how emotional he is. And I LOVE how Charlie twisted the knife..."He's re-ignited the passion for me. It's nice to work for a guy who gives so much and asks for nothing in return."
Feel that boyd?

Yeah, I like how Charlie left Boyd to go work for Chip. I don't remember which episode it was, but I laughed my ass off when the had Charlie spraying in the booth, and had a cardboard cut out of Boyd parading back and forth in front of the windows to the booth.
I got burned by Boyd years ago, when I ordered some rims. I had ordered them and received 3 of them, and was waiting on the 4th one when he decided to go bankrupt. Luckily for me, I was able to return the other three and get my money back. This is back when the were just called BOYD wheels, now that he has re-established himself, kind of, they're called Boyd Coddington wheels.
I think Boyds image is on its way down, yeah he has some talent, and has some good workers, but his attitude is just poor, along with that other guy that seems to be his sidekick. I can't stand how they guilt their employees into coming in and working their days off or staying late. They seem to do that quite a bit.
Oh well, to tell you the truth, I don't really watch the show because I cant stand the two of them.
Just my 2 cents!

I dunno, Pimp My Ride has left me with a sour taste for WCC. Maybe it's MTV to blame, but to throw $20k into a car's A/V equipment and ignore a tired, ragged-out engine makes them seem like tools. Like I said, that's just what I interpreted from their show, I very well could be wrong.
Speaking of Charlie, is he not working for Foose anymore or did they just pull him off the paintjobs for the show? That guy's work is stunning.

Oh yeah, and that Camaro for the worlds biggest beater, That thing looked alright on paper, but the color when it was all done and unmasked was horrible. I think that was the worst paint job they did.

Camaro is nice straight car but won't qualify them for the builder of the year...
Next...Wow!!! Some ground effects, wheels and a wing on a new mustang. You can't get more BOLT-ON than that....
(maybe with shelby next to it it's cool)
The GN on some twankies and bolt on big brakes....I won't even get into that.
I see that you are trying to say they don't do crappy work but their are ALOT of builders out there that KICK THE SNOT out of those BOLT-ON tv gods. Show me something of WCC's that doesn't have a bunch of off the shelf parts, mixed with a giant ghetto blaster audio system with 7 tvs in it and you MIGHT get my attention.

I think maybe you are prejudiced against them because their build style isn't p-t. The stuff they build really is top-notch, but they're also built to drive. I'm surprisd that a pro-touring fan can't appreciate cars made to actually be used, even if it's to be used differently than we use our cars.

never said they were builder of the year...?

never mind the 500 hp supercharged Shelby engine in it.
You actually make your own body parts?!!! AWESOME. you cast your own manifolds and superchargers? Make your own wheels? You are a car GOD. /sarcasm
Everything on your car is a "bolt on" and guess what. You bolted it on. You do the exact same work at your shop.
The GN on some twankies and bolt on big brakes....I won't even get into that. Since your going on only looks to make this statement, and dont know how the car looked when it got there. I'll let the wisdom of this statement stand.

Yeah. your right. anyone could shorten 4 door cars and make them look RIGHT.
they've been turning out some of the finest show rides for years. Sounds like jelousy to me.
Oh. here's under the hood of that camaro

WCC can do some really great work. The reason they broke out the Pimp my Ride crew was to get that junk out of their main garage and let them do the real work seperately.

Is that a SB2.2 from DEI? Dangerous! Too bad it won't last long with out a way to get the water from the block to the radiator.

That is Jimmie Johnson's Camaro with the Randy Dorton engine. We saw it a few weeks ago at Hendrick Motorsports just sittin' back in a viewing area.
