If I wanted to have a set of AFR heads professionaly ported to get the most I coud out of them who would be the best guy to goto????

ron sharp or ed curtis. that is who AFR will reccomend and that is who i use.

What exactly does "not cheap" mean?? What is a ball park figure of what I can expect to pay???

Well it depends on how nuts you wanna go... probably ~$1000 after everything to have it done right.

How much performance gain is expected from fully worked heads versus the stock CNC AFR's?

AFR offers cnc porting for a pretty reasonable price... I just bought a set of competition 227's and I can't believe how good they are for $2000; well, except the valve springs, throw those things away. AFR also has flow #'s on their site, and some dyno stuff too. -Dan

CFE is bad ass....

Larry Meaux does some good work on those castings. www.maxracesoftware.com might take some time though. He has some very fast guys out there with reworked AFR's. I've picked up more than a few sets from him.

I could go on with more recomendations if you want and some contact info.

Do you have them as raw castings to start with? Or are they the CNC port in there already.

Larry is a hard guy to get a hold of. I spend more than a few thou with him in a year and he's always hard to get a handle on. E-mail is the best for him.
