I recently rewired the entire car using a Ron Francis wiring kit and also installed LEDs for my turn signals and high beam. While I was at it I ran wire for a fourth red LED in the dash that I would like to use for a shift light. Is there any kind of controller that would run this LED for a shift light. Right now I currently run a MS 6AL, MSD 2 stage rev box (for trans brake and opertaes on MSD pills), MSD timing controller for adjusting timing for NOS runs at the track. Could I jumper off the 2 stage rev controller with a wire on the high "pill" to get it to light my LED or is there some other way of doing it with what I have. Or do I have to buy a control box of some sorts to operate the LED? Thanks

Talked to MSD and they recomended using their RPM Window switch. #8590. By hooking your tach output out of the MSD 6AL into the RPM Window switch you can use the LED for a shift light, but instead of grounding the LED you supply voltage to one side of it and the output of the RPM switch to the other side and the RPM switch will ground it out when not in use and therefore turning the LED on at desired RPM. Hope this helps anyone looking to do the same!
