Zinc wash rotors or not?

Hey guys;

I just ordered a 4 wheel disk setup from Touring Classics. Noel has been great.

He did not have any zinc washed rotors available so I had to go with standard coating.

Should I look for a place locally to zinc wash them or is it not that big of a deal?

Zinc washing is fine.. only prob is if they do it super thick. What happens is the zinc embeds into the pads and takes awhile to burn off.

If your rotors are by Wilwood then I know they do a lite zinc wash.

Another option is to burn the zinc off with an old pair of pads then switch over to a new pair..
