As a representative to Precision Brakes Company, I have been instructed to post this letter to all valued members on Pro Touring.

May 15, 2006

The world of the automotive aftermarket is an exciting, fast paced market place. Businesses come and go with astonishing speed. Although Precision Brakes Company may seem to be a newcomer to the scene, many of our key people have been in the industry for years.

Since Precision Brakes company was established in 2001, it has nearly doubled in size EVERY YEAR.

The overwhelming interest in our products in recent months has resulted in unprecedented numbers of new customers. This has made it challenging to predict seasonal workloads and manage our stock and inventory.

Needless to say, we were not prepared for the volume of orders we now have.

To make matters worse, several of our existing suppliers have found it almost impossible to keep up with us at all. Finding and adjusting to the schedules of new suppliers does not often come without a few hiccups, and we’ve had our share.

And when you add various personnel changes to that, it makes a potent recipe for disaster.

There is no excuse, however, for not keeping the customer in the loop regarding the status of his/her order. In this I feel that we have let some of our customers down.

So what is the solution? We have hired new customer service staff to improve our communication lines with our customers, and we have found some excellent new suppliers that will help us deliver better quality parts faster. We are confident that most of the kinks in our supply chain have been sorted out, and there are new structures in place that will move your orders through our system quicker and with more accuracy than ever before.

We remain committed to you, our current customers and potential customers. We appreciate your candor and eagerly await the opportunity to show you how great it can be to do business with Precision Brakes Company.

Sincerely

Sara McGoodwin

Addressing the issues publically, and more importantly to a very important group of customers, is very considerate.

This all sounds like growing pains to me and I'm sure it can and does happen to the best companies.

My dealings with Precision Brakes Company have been pretty good though it's had it's bad moments, but I won't deny that it's a good product that I am very impressed with and recieve compliments on from showgoers, passengers, and the select few that I trust to take my car for a spin.

I think that if PBC makes it a priority to overcome these hiccups, they'll continue to be very successful.

All that said, looks like you're my guy Victor. I haven't heard from or spoken to anyone at Precision Brakes since Laramie was still with you guys and have some issues I need to discuss. Do I talk to you or do I need to speak with someone else?

Kris

Victor;

I sent you a set of dropped spindles, and the entire existing brake setup to you over a month ago to have you build me a new setup for the front of my 67 camaro.

Is it really going to be June before I get my new brake setup? The shop is getting a little impatient with my car sitting there that long, and 8 weeks seems like a lot of time to get this done. Paying storage while waiting for parts is not my favorite thing.

You guys used to give a pt discount and free brake fluid with a big order like mine. I'm not sure there was any discount, and it appears you charged me for the fluid. Please advise.
