I sent my LS1 wiring harness and computer to John at SpearTech for his reworking. Prior to sending, I personally spoke to John and he told me that it should take no more than a 1 1/2 weeks to rework the harness and computer. It has been almost 4 weeks since he received it at his shop. I have called twice just to check on their progress...both times John assured me it would be finished within a day or two. That was over 10 days ago.
I know that things can get hectic and unpredictable but level with me-- if is going to be 3 weeks tell me so!!
Any ideas on how I should handle?
Thanks
Patrick

That happens with a lot of smaller companies.. they get a rush of work and bogged down. they WANT to get stuff out in a few days, but it doesn't happen. it's hard for companies to underpromise and overdeliver even though that's the best way to keep people happy.
I do know that John has excelent customer service and you should call him up and just say "John, I need a FIRM date on when this will be done. The last couple times you have said "two more days" but I need the real date." ask that nicely and see what he says.
Like I said, many companies tell thier customers what they think they want to hear and then try to meet that expectation instead of telling them how it REALLY is.
I've always had great luck with Speartech and to be honest they are the only company like this I would use. Call John and let us know what he says.

1 1/2 weeks sounds quick to me. It took about 4-6 weeks for mine but that was expected form the beginning. I called Speartech a couple of times and they were always helpful and easy to deal with.

Just wanted to close this out.... Harness and computer arrived today. Maybe, it took longer than what I was told....BUT it sure looks like the quality and workmanship was well worth the wait.

I sent mine in 3 weeks ago or so and John specifically told me then it was quite busy and the turnaround time was 3-4 weeks presently.
I just got mine back in the mail today. Complete LS1 wiring harness modified from a 2004 GTO LS1 and ECU reprogrammed.
Patience is a virtue. :)
