OK guys and gals, we finally got the registration page ready for our next track day. We have put the deposit down with Grattan for FRIDAY July 28th. Our event last week went well even in the rain, so we decided to have another one. There were no PT guys there besides myself (Adam came to ride, watch, and tape) so I thought I would give you another chance. Grattan is a great track, and close enough for Chicago, Detroit, and Indiana people to attend. We reserved a Friday too, so you don't have to hurry back to work. Here are the basic details:

-$135 for about 2 hours of track time (non-refundable)
-Helmet is required
-Lunch will be included this time (hence the higher price)
-4 groups of cars based on experience and vehicle
-passengers are allowed with a helmet
-we will be camping out the night before

For more detailed information and to register, check out the website:

PS A few words about the website. We are in the process of moving the website to a dedicated domain name. I will update the link when that happens. We are trying to make the registration process as easy as possible. We have created a new email that all 3 of us have access to (the organizers) so we can answer questions faster.

SWEET!!! I love this track. Yes the last event was so much fun even as a passenger. Heather and I should be at this event with either the 67 Mustang or my 69 Camaro. I dont understand why more people from this site wont come to these events. Grattan is about as good as it gets. Extremely advanced and awesome track.
Are you taking your Corvette or are you going to get a new engine for the 69 Camaro. I would love to see your Camaro out on the track with me. We could have a lot of fun battleing together. :)
If anyone ever needs to see videos or pictures these events, they are all on my site and I will keep updating all the time. Also Ken, if Dave wants to steel some of the pics from my site he can do that for your site.

I'm planning on bringing the Vette. I don't know how long it's going to take me to get the Camaro engine going. I still have to remove the pistons from the bores so I can decide if it needs to be bored, or just honed.

I have a long list of things to do for the Vette though. I have to finish the rack and pinion conversion and also install the fuel injection and distributorless ignition. I don't know if the tile work at home is ever going to be finished.

Everyone, this event is a little less than two months away now. That is plenty of time to get those last few things done on the car and come out. I would really like to see some more PT cars at these events. We spend so much time on this board talking about how we drive these cars, and they aren't trailer queens, yet I have seen a grand total of 2 other PT members at the other track events I have been to this year. The other people at the track love seeing these cars out there. I got thumbs up and a lot of positive comments from all the track workers even.

If you have any questions about the event, let me know. If there is some reason people don't want to come that I can change, I will try.

Bueller? Bueller?

We are starting to get some interesting entries. The S2000 club is sending some people. Corvettes are strongly represented again. We even have a few new GTO's. No more PT cars though.

Adam,
I got the brackets for my rack and pinion tacked on last night. Now, I just need to measure for the correct tie rod lengths so I can make those up. After that, it's time for trial fitting and checking for interference. If nothing hits, I will weld on the brackets and be good to go. Fuel injection and distributorless ignition is also happening.

One month until we hit the track.

Adam,
Any update? Are you guys going to be bringing the cars out? We have gotten 10 more people in the last week, spots are starting to fill up.

Due to a mistake by Grattan, we had to move the day. Grattan douoble booked for July 28th, so we are moving to the day before. Please see 3ballsracing.com for all the details.

Here is a link to some pics from the event. My Camaro of course spent the whole day on the trailer. The engine I picked up was a bit of a leaker. The first leak was my fault (forgot to tighten the oil pressure sending line), but I just couldn't stop the others. I made about a lap and half. The good news is I think I got rid of the mosquitoes with the smoke cloud. Anyway, Andy made it out in his 65 Mustang, so he represented the old car group. The second link is of the track time I did get.
