Okay i feel especially stupid because I get pissed off seeing a thread on c5 or ls1 brakes every week but I can not for the life of me fine who makes a bracket for a c5 rotor with the c5 calliper, aside from touring classics but at $400 minus callipers and rotors it still isnt too cheap.
Oh and this would be for c6z brakes thus why it has to be a c5 rotor, thanks guys!

Speed-tech performance. They are listed as one of our site sponsors. Excellent work, they are about $135 I think.

Haha, thats what i thought too, but if you read carefully they use the c4 not c5 rotor. They were who I was planning on using until I read it more carefully.
Anyone make sence of the tall short spindle stuff?

Call Todd at Speedtech. I am pretty sure they carry C5 to C5.

I think that's a typo on their site.

I second that - Tobin's a great guy, answered all my questions and more about the C5 big brake conversion. If you have stock F-body drum spindles, they're short. Here's the info I got from Tobin when I asked him about this:
A: You have short-spindles...They are relatively short from top to bottom, are a forged construction and utilize a bolt-on steering arm. There are three variants: 1. drum with a 1/2-20 upper threaded boss and 7/16" clearance holes for the steering arm, 2. drum with a 5/8"-18 upper threaded boss and 1/2" clearance holes for the steering arm, and 3. disc with a cut down 5/8"-18 upper threaded boss and 1/2" clearance holes for the steering arm.
Note from the Kore3 web site:
GM made a fourth short-spindle design that is not compatible with this kit. The spindle is cast, not forged, and can be readily identified by the integral cast caliper mounts and steering arms. We currently do not offer a kit for this spindle application, however it can be swapped to the forged GM short-spindle or converted to the GM tall-spindle if you are interested in adapting KORE C5/C6 brakes to your car.
Hope this helps.

I say try Tobin at Kore3. He is currently building my entite braking system and has been doing so for about 3 months! I sent him calipers and he custom made me brackets and steered me in the rotor direction! He is truely an awesome guy and great for info. His brackets were great and I just got rid of his c5's because of my new braking system.
Highly recommend calling him or emailing him. Tell him Tony Rizzo sent ya!

FWIW, the second-gen spindles are "tall".

the reason for using c4 rotors is because they are 13.25" and the c5 ones are only 12.75" ...i guess you get half inch more!! yay lol

What if you want to use a 06 ZO6 setup? Im looking for something that will allow me to mount the 14" rotors with 6 piston calipers. I would think that if the ZO6 setup is a bolt on kit for a C5 then brackets for a first gen to mount C5 brakes should work then right? Someone let me know if Im wrong about this.

So, I'm guessing you don't want to see that picture? Oh well.... That's fine with us. We'll just have to take the cool parts off the car before you get here.
