How do you remove oil stains from Coated Headers?

My expensive hooker super comps are ceramic coated and a dripping oil pan has stained them. Has anybody had any success removing oil stains from coated headers? I tried one spot and it was a PITA.

This may sound crazy but I used steel wool- real fine stuff. It did leave fine scratches and dulled the pipe a little but i'm sure you could probably bring back the luster with some wax or something. Chris

he's right . fine steel wool. and sometimes laquer thinner will work. you can bring the shine back with aluminum polish. like mothers .
