I have a 3in system with the X and a set of Flowmaster 40's. I love the sound of the 40's but I was wondering if it could possibly hurting performance. The Dynomax are a straight through design and as most of you know the 40's are a chambered designe.. from dynomax's web site the ultra flo's flow over 1100 cfm and the 40's are like 450 cfm. So what do you think the performance and sound difference would be.. I know I do not want the cherry bomb sound but I have been very pissed about the dyno numbers I have been getting.. I have seen sooo many build ups and crate motors that are producing sooo much more power than I am with my set up it has got me looking for an answer... I know dyno number are just dyno numbers but still .... so what do u think about the mufflers...

You won't find any performance difference.

Think of it this way; how may CFM is your carb?

not worth the time to change.all these muffler companys compare to flowmaster and put these test results out they out flow them, then they sell mufflers, and everybody goes oh no flowmasters dont flow.they are on some the fastest street cars on planet.they cant be that bad,and they are the #1 selling exhuast company out there.
