Hi everyone, just found out today that we're on for a second season of madness! The film crew will be here towards the end of June, and you can bet that we'll be using all of our newfound connections on these builds! Thanks for watching!

I think it's going to be pretty much the same as last time - 10 cars, 10 months. Insanity!!!

hotrodgal,

Will next year's show continue with the SMC theme, or will it feature a different build style?

It will still be the SMC brand, and we are hoping to do at least one type of truck, and a convertible something. If any of you know of a project that you'd think might work for us, please let us know. We are looking for Ford, Mopar, GM from early '60's to early '70's. Thanks!

Sorry, Darrin, but the name's already got a trademark/copywright. TLC/Discovery loved the idea!

I know I am going to go against the norm, but you should really consider doing a Buick. You could pick up a Skylark pretty cheap and clone it into a killer GS or GSX clone. I have a lot of ideas with a project like that. Just imagine a Ken Bell 455 fuel injected BB. You could fit some 18x10 on the rear and still get great traction. That tome would be a "SMC"

But thats just my opinion......

I love the show by the way.

Matthew

How about a modern version of a Trans-Am era AMC Javelin with big diameter Minilite style wheels?

I have a wrecked, but fixable, '71 Challenger you could use. My dad's car, he bought it new.

Congrats on season 2

I like the show. At least the attention is mostly focussed on the car build and there is not too much time wasted on the drama.

We were thinking of a Trans-Am race car...we want to run the car at the historic races at Monterey and then auction it there. Ideas anyone?

And the car for the Monterey auction is going to be a replica of Dan Gurney's '67 Cougar...ought to make a cool little Trans Am car.

Any T/A-style car would be awesome. I've always wanted to see someone do an EFI'd cross-ram manifold. A road race style '69 Vette with fender flares, side pipes, and 427 power would be cool too.

DREW IS WORKING HARD..IT JUST SEEMS HIS AUCTIONS CAN'T QUITE GET IT IN HIGH GEAR..I CAN'T UNDERSTAND WHY BECAUSE HIS AUCTION IS A LOT OF FUN, WHILE R&M IS KIND OF HOOTY SNOOTY BRITISH HIGH BROW. BUT THOSE CARS AT R&M DO A LOT OF MONEY..I THINK YOU'LL BE FINE AT RUSSO..GOOD VENUE FOR THAT KIND OF CAR..DREW IS A VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE GUY ON THAT KIND OF CAR.
