Ive seen 315's. It really depends on how far out towards the fender arch you think looks tasteful.

In my experience, a 275/285 tire will tuck under the stock fender lip with no rubbing. The 315-equipped cars (usually with Corvette wheels and spacers) stick out too far for my taste. This is a 275 tire on my street/strip car...

Take lots of measurements because you've got to nail the backspacing on the wheels. My fenderwell only has 12" of room and a 275 tire is approx. 11.2" wide.

Since it's a street/strip car, I run 15x3.5" Weld wheels with 26X6.00R15LT Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires. Pro-touring style cars run 245 - 275 series tires on 8-9.5 inch wide front wheels. Check out thirdgen.org to see pics of various combos.

It has a 427 big block with a small nitrous kit. I've got a 13.5:1 372ci motor going in it after Power Tour.
