From time to time I make video's and need music. I've bought a few sound clips off the internet and thought, why pay someone I don't know for them. I'd rather pay someone from the site. Can you play a guitar? Can you make something like what I used for this video?

If so, let me know asap. I am making a video for the Year One Event and need background music.

Larry, a few of my students are in local punk/rock bands. I'll mention it to them and see what they think!

I'll do it for you. I won't charge you either, that's silly. The amount of knowledge I've gained from this site is priceless. I don't have a drum machine but I will look into getting a keyboard with one on it. Do you just take a small clip and loop it or is it written as a full sequence? If you want you can send me the clip, that might help me out so I know when to change things up a bit.

Very cool. Don't worry about getting a drum machine. What do you play?
I had been getting a full length audio sequence and chopping it up as needed. Have you seen the Year One video I just did? I wound up recycling a sound clip I've used before.
What style are you looking for? And what time frame are you look at?
I'd be interested in doing something for you, but I'm heading out on tour doing sound for the warped tour.

Dave, what do you do exactly with regards to warped tour?
For the summer I’ll be working for Ernie Ball as a sound tech. So that means being part of a team of 6 guys that run the two stages (Ernie ball is running two stages this year)… and that means a lot of work.
Everyday we'll set up the two stages, get everything up and running, and get a gross amount of bands on and off the stages, pack up and wake up in another city!
Although i say that in a negative way, i'm really excited to get out there!

I wouldn't call myself a "musician", but i have made things like this. (please don't laugh. requires windows media player.) (http://media.putfile.com/pro-touring-music) But it's not bad for a half hours work.
stupidnewbie, i want to say that i've heard of you guys but i'm not sure. have you played up in sac or chico?

Yea we've played in Sacramento, Stockton, Tracy, and the Bay Area. We played all the West Coast Warped Tour dates a few years back, maybe that's where you heard us?
thats got to be from where. what are you guys doing now?

We released a full album called "Arbitrary" about 2 years ago on a label that had more hot air than money, so we didn't get much promotion on it. It's available through Hot Topic or on the web. Our contract with that label just ran out so we're now working on a new album being recorded in our own studio; however, it's slow going as our drummer just partially tore his MCL/PCL/LCL in his knee. We should hopefully have it completed this summer and then get back on the road!
i hear you about the label. There are a lot of labels out there with business models that couldn't make a lemonade stand profitable. good luck to you with the new album, if its coming out this summer you must be pretty far along... thats always a good feeling.

Well, since I'm actually a doctoral student in music composition, I feel kinda obligated to post something. Probably the only thing I have that's even close to the "feel" of what you're looking for is probably still a bit too experimental. Still, here it is anyway:
