I know this is a Pro-Touring board but i figured you guys were very knowledgeable on this topic because of all the swaps that were done. I have a 2002 Z28 and i'm having some issues.
Ok guys this happend to me a few months back but i just swapped out a new fuse and the problem disappeared...for a while.
What keeps happening is my number 7 fuse (PWR ACCY) keeps blowing. Every time i park the car i have to put a new fuse in. I know i am using the proper fuse. I must have went through 5 or 6 fuses yesterday. Then comes the night time and i noticed i had no tail lamps. I check that fuse (fuse number 5 TAIL LPS) and it too is blown. I replaced that one and so far no problems with that one. What do you guys think is going on?
There is only one odd thing that i notice. When i replace the #7 fuse i notice a blue spark when putting it in and you can also here the spark crackle. Is that normal? It didn't happen when i put in the #5 fuse.
Do i have a short somewhere that would be causing these problems? That seems like a logical explanation to me, but where? Where should i start to look?
Any help is appreciated from anyone. Please i need it because this problem is a real pain in the ass.

You have a short in your power acc. circuit. Thats what the spark is, your fuse immediately blowing as you put it in! Check all items in that circuit for bare or shorted connections.

It doesn't blow as soon as i put it in though. It blows when i turn the car off. Included in that circuit are the Parking Lamp Realy, Hatch Release Relay, Power Miror Switch, Radio, Shock Sensor, and the Intrument Cluster. How do i go about checking for the short?
