I went to the track tonight to do some testing with my Viper before the finals in Fl. I took my Lexus along and ran a few passes. I retuned it today on the dyno and it made 797rwh 700rwt on boost only with full exhaust . I ran a couple of passes and had traction issues but it ran [email protected] and [email protected]. This is my second time at the track with the Lexus. The first time I ran 10.6. Not bad for a 3850lb family car!! I might have a video up later..

A 1.66 short time and 142mph???!!! I'd say your having traction problems is an understatement! Too cool.

Thanks for the comments. Ralph, I changed up the suspension in the Viper and couldn't get it to hook. I ran a [email protected]. This is a all motor(no spray) 510 ci motor. I'm going back to my old set up. My best 60ft was 1.45, used to be 1.39-1.40's. Now the car is making more power, should go 9's..

I remember one time SW brought out three different 9-second cars to the same event. His Viper, his C5, and his Supra. All three ran 9s. Talk about having every angle covered!

Hey SW do you pilot your cars down those 9 second passes?

LOL! SW is one of the best all-around drivers you will ever get to see. Those three former 9-second cars I mentioned earlier were all 6-speed cars too. He is also very well versed on the road courses too.

Hey SW i have a question about Supras. Can i send you an email with a few of my questions? I'm building a model and would like to know a few things so i can get it accurate.

Thank you,
William

I asked because I think you have to have a NHRA license to run a 9, and was just curious. No nut juggling here!

Vids Please!!!!

Nice work SW.

I have been drooling over your posts for a long, long time. For anyone who doesn't know SW is a frequent contributor on the Corvetteforum and a few other sites where he is always about 6 months and 1/2 second ahead of everyone else on new records, new engine combos, etc... Basically he is great inspiration for the rest of us. :icon996:

Thanks for all the nice comments guys.. Yody, I have IHRA, SCCA and Vintage licences. We try and go to "friendly" tracks, since alot of the time our cars don't have roll cages. My Viper has all the safety equipment, but I won't ever put a cage in the Lexus!

Don't let Tony(Nine Ball) fool you, he is one hell of a driver himself!!

I'm trying to get the Video up, but it's a large file and having problems getting it hosted.

will69camaro, I will be glad to help, send me a e-mail. [email protected]

Damn SW. Nice work for a family car!!

If you don't mind me asking...what did it cost in mods to get there from a stock SC300?

The stock motor is very similar to the Supra motor. The Supra motor has less compression and oil squirters to lube the bottom of the pistons. The guys in the shop have a bolt on turbo kit for a stock SC300, which would be good for about 480-500rwh. That's about max on the stock motor. My car was originally a 5spd car, and everything pretty much bolts in. I took everthing out of my car and added the built Supra motor, 6spd, TRD rear end, coilover suspension and Supra brakes front&rear. I have about $30k in the conversion, getting everything at cost and a deal on the labor.
Here is a list of what I have in mine:
Supra 2JZGTE short block(bluprinted)
Ported head, 264 cams/cam gears
Fuel system/ dual walborogh pumps
850cc injectors,custom fuel rail
Greddy frontmount intercooler
Boost Logic T71GTQ turbo
Fluidine aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans
Supra 6spd tranny w/WOTM single disc clutch
TRD limited slip rear end
Tanabe coilovers w/TRD swaybars
HKS DLI
AEM computer
Blitz boostcontroler
Supra brakes w/powerslot rotors
19" CCW wheels
3 1/2" downpipe and midpipe w/custom exhaust
