Hey guys, I have a hard time justifying spending $600 on a fuel tank for the chevelle vs. 160 for a new stock tank. How hard (if possible) is it to put a sump in the stock tank. Is there anything internally I will need to address. Help me out, All comments are appreciated!

Piece of cake. Make a shape something like in the attached picture, and drill one hole in the tank where the middle of the sump would be, the 1/8"-1/4" bigger than the line you're using between the pump and tank. (or, several smaller holes who's total volume equals or exceeds the volume of the aforementioned line)

I did it ... took my stock tank and a sump from C.E. and then took the tank to a welder and bang there u go... all for about half the price of a "professional" tank
